| Cognition of Vitality in Landscape Architecture and Its Contemporary Transformation |

| Abstract: |
| Under the background of ecological civilization and high-quality
development, facing the demand for sustainable renewal and improvement of
human settlement landscape environment, systematically carrying out cognitive
tracing, connotation analysis, and theoretical construction of landscape vitality has
become a prerequisite for the in-depth development of contemporary landscape
research and practice. The vitality of landscape architecture, as a scientific
representation of the organic integration of human activities and landscape
environment, not only reflects the regularity, purposefulness, and sustainable
development of the supply-demand relationship of the landscape environment,
but also contains the experience summary and collective wisdom of human
beings towards an ideal living environment. Related research has been carried out
in the aspects of element observation, statistical induction, measurement analysis,
and enhancement strategies, providing analytical pathways for the theoretical
deepening and practical transformation of landscape vitality. The theoretical
framework for landscape vitality needs to be further deepened. Based on such
a complex historical accumulation of landscape construction, it is urgent to sort
out a dynamic knowledge framework that fits the characteristics of the landscape
architecture profession and to face the cognitive transformation of landscape
architecture vitality in the background of sustainable renewal. This will provide a
methodological path for the theoretical deepening and practical transformation
of landscape architecture vitality. Based on the interactive mechanism of "human
environment", construct a dynamic cognitive theoretical system applicable to
the sustainable renewal of landscape architecture, and integrate the theoretical
construction, characteristic analysis, and practical exploration of landscape vitality.
Based on the classic theories of landscape architecture and the historical context
of landscape evolution, this paper examines the interpretation and deduction of
landscape vitality under the wisdom of both the East and the West, analyzes the
scientific connotation and representation of landscape vitality, and constructs
a theoretical framework for landscape vitality that integrates "philosophical
tracing - structural sorting - value questioning - technology driven". Through
literature analysis, it clarifies the evolution and characteristics of creating a dynamic
environment. Based on commonly used measurement methods and research
cases of landscape vitality, summarize and propose practical paths for releasing
contemporary landscape vitality. Research has shown that the differences in
traditional cultural foundations and philosophical thinking between the East and the
West have created their own systems for understanding vitality, cognitive logic, and
landscape evolution. The East is based on Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism,
emphasizing the natural generation and symbiotic logic of order from "unity of
heaven and human" to "endless vitality"; the West has undergone a philosophical
shift from "ontological transcendence" to "subject symbiosis", focusing on
revealing ethical demands and subjective constructions in the relationship between
humans and nature. At the level of feature analysis, the research on the vitality of
landscape architecture presents an evolutionary trend of subject enhancement,
functional complexity, and mechanism reconstruction. The relevant measurement
system is gradually expanding from recognition and characterization based on
crowd behavior and comprehensive evaluation of environmental factors to system
construction of model simulation and regulation mechanisms. At the practical
exploration level, it is believed that green empowerment, healthy human factors,
low-carbon transformation, digital intelligence upgrading, and quality improvement
are the practical ways to release the vitality of landscape architecture in the
background of sustainable renewal. This study constructs a landscape vitality
cognitive system from the perspective of the "human environment" relationship
theory, which integrates cognitive tracing, philosophical connotation analysis,
measurement method induction, and practical path extraction. The relevant
achievements contribute to the two-way integration of the vitality of landscape
architecture from theoretical system to practical response, providing a theoretical
basis and research foundation for boosting the vitality of urban and rural living
